Straddie Tipis North Stradbroke Island
Straddie Tipis offers a visually stunning and unique option for outdoor events on North Stradbroke Island and the surrounding areas. Their intimate Bell Tents are perfect for taking your date (or proposal!) to another level, and if you’re going to surprise a big group with your entrance, they even have an authentic Giant Nordic Tipi that can accommodate up to 120 guests! This one provides a beautiful setting for weddings, parties, corporate events, and festivals. Straddie Tipis aims to make each event special and unique, and has been providing this experience since 2017, with their Tipi Experiences becoming a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. A slightly smaller picnic platter, set up with rugs and cushions and a beach umbrella instead of bell tent (still with champagne)
The Premium Bell Picnic – $800.00
This is the full Premium Bell Tent set up, which includes styling/carpets/fans on those especially hot days, with a larger picnic platter and wine
The Proposal Package – $1200.00
Setup is the same as the above Premium Bell Picnic, with additional styling, including a floral bouquet, as well as a 20min private Photography Session with 10+ edited photos
Cancellation Policy: Straddie Tipis has a minimum 72hrs notice requirement for a change or mind or cancellation of the picnic + set up. If there is a change of mind or no show with less than 72hrs notice, the full picnic charge is forfeit. However, if weather does not permit that it is safe to fly on the day, they are happy to have change the date free of charge.
Most of our customers upgrade to a Brisbane CBD Scenic, which really does take the experience to the next level. If you’re looking to get from the airport and back the fastest, or on a budget the direct flight is the choice for you. Don’t worry, we do not implement techniques to up-sell every flight, or treat any of our customers differently – everyone gets the same Bekaa Air service

Spice up your flight with a Brisbane City scenic. You will be taken past St Lucia and the Gabba, across the Brisbane River. Past Kangaroo Point and the botanical gardens. We will bend a left around the Meriton to showcase the northern side of Brisbane. Then we will complete an other arc flying past West End and Southbank. All this at a perfect height of 1000ft (300m) above the terrain bellow.
Please note that the City is inside Brisbane Controlled Airspace. Whilst we do everything possible to secure a clearance into this airspace sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances [such as a rescue helicopter coming to land] we may not be allowed in. In this case we will fly past South Bank and West End at the edge of the controlled airspace we will then make a left turn and fly overhead Mt Cootha and the TV Towers giving you a view of the entire Brisbane area. If it’s clear you will be able to sometimes see all the way to Southport and the Glasshouse Mountains

If you want the best experience, nothing comes close to the paradise that is Stradbroke and Moreton Island. Your flight path is going to take you eastbound. Past the QEII Stadium and Mt Cotton. We will then pass Siromet Winery and Redland Bay/Victoria point. A few island hops away as it’s known to the locals, is North Straddie. Here is where the real fun begins; our customers often spot whales, dugongs, sting rays, sharks amongst perfect beaches and sandbanks. We will take you all the way to the most northern tip of Moreton Island, North Point Lighthouse. Next stop, Tangalooma Resort where once again we will descend to have a look at numerous shipwrecks scattered around the bay. As we turn back everyone will get an opportunity to share the other side of the experience.

This Gold Coast scenic flight is simply breathtaking. Unlike some companies who only take you up to South Port/Sea World. We are going to fly coastal southbound all the way past Q1 and Broad Beach at 1000ft. Then we are going to descend down to 500ft (150m) for a closer look on the way back to the spit. Endless Beaches, beautiful skyscrapers and brilliant blue water. No wonder it’s called surfers paradise

We have two mounting positions for the go-pro. The first is positioned at the very back and top of the cabin. This mount encapsulates 160′ viewing angle of your flight. The second position is at the front, mounted to face towards you, perfect for proposals and capturing reactions of your loved one. You will receive the footage straight after the flight via the SD card

We don’t have operating hours because we operate around your requirements. As long as there is light, we can fly (approx. 30min prior sunrise and 30min after sunset, but season dependent). You can call us any time between 8:00 – 17:00, with the phone being forwarded on to our Chief Pilot outside of business hours. We can land almost anywhere as long as it’s large enough to accommodate our aircraft and we can ascertain landing permission from the landowner. The only exception is our sunset flight which has it’s own time-slot each day
Yes. All of our aircraft are equipped with the best Noise cancelling headsets by Bose. They are crystal clear and cancel out a significant portion of the outside noise. Your pilot will also provide commentary and let you talk between each other
Whilst there is no laws restricting us to a certain age; passenger safety and taking care of you, our customers is always our number one priority. This is why we have made the decision to set the minimum age at 3. Infants who are younger are still developing their neck muscles. In the event of turbulence which is minor nuisance to adults can lead to whiplash in infants. Adult sized headsets fit poorly over their heads which can also lead to hearing damage. The flight can also be sometimes frighting for them, which can take away from the experience. Best leave them at home with a baby sitter and enjoy the helicopter flight

In our R44RII helicopter which most flights are based on the maximum seat limit is 136kg and maximum payload is around 270kg
Our Bell LongRanger seats up to 6 and doesn’t have a per seat limit
Perhaps a low bar to clear. Anyone who had a flight cancelled for any reason would have gone through the painful process of trying to get a refund. We did everything possible to make our cancelation policy one of the best. We are certain that you won’t find anywhere that offers a policy as transparent and flexible as ours.
If you would like to reschedule your flight we ask that you do so with a 24 hour notice. If more than 24hrs notice is given, our full refund policy applies.
On the day if we deem the conditions to no longer be safe to fly, Bekaa Air customers can either reschedule to any other day or receive a 100% refund for your flight. If the weather is marginal (aka safe to fly but affects the experience, eg when it’s raining) we can offer full refund or to reschedule your flight to an other day.
Please note: Straddie Tipis have a slightly different cancellation policy, where a minimum of 72hrs is required for a cancellation or refund of the picnic + set up. However, if weather is the mitigating factor, they are happy to organise a different day free of charge. We do not offer refunds for no-shows or cancelations inside the 24 hour period.
Our gift vouchers are processed by hand and can be purchased at no extra cost. Don’t want to book a date? All vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be redeemed any time within the period. After you submit the purchase they will be created and sent to you via email. A sample of what a gift voucher looks like can be found here
The basic package accounts for two hours. If you require more time you can select for up to 4hrs (overnight/weekend stays exempted)

Yes. Unlike a commercial jet, your phones do not need to be turned to airplane mode. Nor do we charge extra for this
This is what makes our approach unique. All of our tours, including the scenic flights – are private. This means that when you book your flight for two people, we will not sell the remaining seat to anyone else. Whilst this inadvertently means we make less on each flight, we have made this decision so we ultimately provide a better experience for our customers
You can fly to anywhere you like. You can fly from anywhere you like. All we need is a written landing approval from the land-owner and an assessment by us to make sure that the area meets our safety requirements. The tours you see on our website are the hand-picked ones that meet our quality requirements. Instead of listing as many places as we can, we have selected each individual winery, lodge and resort as a top performer. You will not go wrong no matter which place you chose
