How to book your flight

The most efficient way to book is online. We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Stripe. Please note that we only place a temporary hold on your funds initially. We do not capture the payment until we have personally confirmed your preferred departure time and sent your final itinerary. If your preferred time slot is unavailable, we will offer immediate alternatives. If those do not suit, we release the hold on your funds instantly. If you prefer to book over the phone, please call 04908 177 27.

What’s your cancellation / weather policy?

We offer the industry's most flexible policy. If the weather is unsafe, you are entitled to a full refund or a reschedule. If the weather is safe but marginal (e.g. rain affecting the view), we give you the choice to fly or move the date. We simply ask for 24 hours notice for customer-initiated changes.

Will we be sitting next to someone?

Never. Every booking with Bekaa Air is 100% private. Whether you book for two or four, the helicopter is exclusively yours. There are no strangers, just you and the view.

What are the age/height/weight restrictions?

We are proud to be the only company equipped with an aviation-approved booster seat to accommodate our younger guests! To ensure safety, proper neck support, and headset fit, our minimum age is 12 months, with no height restrictions. For weight distribution, individual passengers over 130kg must contact us prior to booking. Additionally, for bookings of up to 3 passengers flying in our R44 helicopter, the maximum combined weight limit is approximately 250–275kg. Manifests exceeding this combined weight may be required to upgrade to our larger Airbus H125 (which involves pricing for a minimum of 4 seats) to safely proceed with the flight.

Walk-ins and flights at short notice

We always try to accommodate short-notice requests, though weekends are often fully booked in advance. Please be aware that we do not accept walk-ins. Every flight is prepared specifically for you, and we do not have reception staff on standby as your pilot is likely already in the air.

What happens on the day?

The experience is designed to be seamless. The helicopter is exclusively yours, so there is no waiting for mixed groups. We suggest arriving 10 minutes prior to departure. Your pilot will greet you at the lounge, escort you to the aircraft for photos, and complete a safety briefing. From start-up to shutdown, we handle everything.

Do you have operating hours?

We fly 7 days a week. Most flights depart between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Sunset flights shift with the seasons to ensure we capture the best light for your experience.

What if we’re running late?

Please call us immediately. We operate a tight schedule but we will do our best to accommodate. Significant delays may result in reduced flight time to ensure subsequent passengers are not inconvenienced.

Can we bring bags or luggage?

Small handheld bags and cameras are welcome. For larger luggage, please contact us in advance so we can ensure payload limits are met.

Location, Parking & Meeting Point

Our flights depart from our private facility at Archerfield Airport, Brisbane. We have a private parking area located directly next to the hangar. Your confirmation email includes a map and specific meeting instructions. If you have any trouble finding us on the day, you can call your pilot directly for guidance. (Note: Custom pickups from private properties can be arranged subject to a landing safety assessment).

What are your helicopters like

We fly modern, air-conditioned aircraft maintained to the highest commercial standards. Our fleet features floor-to-ceiling glass for panoramic views, ensuring there are no pillars blocking your sight. We take great pride in presenting an immaculate aircraft for every flight.

We recommend smart casual attire. For safety reasons, please wear closed-toe shoes and avoid flip-flops or loose sandals. We also suggest securing any loose items like wide-brimmed hats. Sunglasses are highly recommended for the glare.

Yes, we can issue a digital gift voucher at no extra cost. All vouchers are valid for 3 years, giving the recipient plenty of time to choose their perfect date. We can email the voucher to you immediately after purchase.

Can we use our phones?

Absolutely. You do not need to switch your phone to airplane mode. We encourage you to take as many photos and videos as you like. We only ask for your full attention during the pre-flight safety briefing.

Can we talk during the flight?

Yes. You will be equipped with professional Bose noise-cancelling headsets. These allow for crystal clear conversation between passengers and the pilot throughout the journey.

Motion sickness - should I worry?

Our aircraft fly incredibly smoothly, so motion sickness is very rare. If you are sensitive to motion, please let your pilot know beforehand. We can adjust our flight path and flying style to ensure the most comfortable ride possible.

Can you help with proposals or special occasions?

Absolutely. We specialize in these moments. Let us know your plan and we will help coordinate the timing, flight path, and signaling to ensure it is perfect. We can also assist with discreet photographer placement.

We can mount a high-definition camera in the cabin to capture the scenery or face it towards you to capture reactions. This is a popular addition for proposals. You will receive the raw footage on an SD card immediately after landing.

Helicopter Mountain Picnic Brisbane

The Experience

Your journey begins with a helicopter flight from Archerfield to Spicers Hidden Vale. While your picnic is prepared, enjoy a relaxed wine tasting and select a bottle to take with you.

Then lift off for Mount Mistake, deep within the Scenic Rim wilderness. With no towns, traffic or crowds in sight—only mountains stretching towards the horizon—it feels astonishingly removed from everyday life. Few places this secluded can be reached so effortlessly.

Here, the helicopter leaves you alone with your picnic, your chosen wine and an extraordinary sense of stillness. Take your time. There is nowhere else to be.

Afterwards, return briefly to Hidden Vale before continuing by helicopter to Archerfield.

I booked a transfer to Spicer’s Peak including a scenic flight over the Gold Coast for my wife’s surprise 30th. Even with some not so pleasant weather, Nico was able to suggest a slight change to the flight plan and we managed to see everything we wanted to and got safely to Spicer’s and back. Needless to say it was a great trip and both pilots (Nico and Mith) were excellent and would happily fly with them again!

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could! We took a helicopter tour of Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and then stopped for lunch at Spicers Peak Lodge and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Niko and Declan are great pilots, very safe, and made us feel very comfortable the entire time. I planned this tour months in advance of our trip to Australia and the responsiveness, communication, and ease of planning was outstanding. Most of my communication was with Declan and he arranged for a car service to/from the airfield/Brisbane hotel and made the lunch reservation for us at Spicers in addition to the tour. It really could not have been easier. Spicers is amazing as well so if you’re hesitating about adding it on to your tour, don’t! There’s nothing like landing on the lawn and then having an exquisite lunch on the patio before jetting back off in your private helicopter. Bekaa Air really did execute everything flawlessly and I highly recommend them!

This experience was amazing. We done a pub crawl tour on the helicopter for a full day and enjoyed it so much. Nico our pilot made the experience even better. He was lovely with us always available to do pictures of us while we were there also took us to see the whales planned a surprise at the end of our trip to go around CBD Brisbane. We had so much fun during this trip in helicopter we saw beautiful places and had our time of our life. Thank you again!

I took my partner on a surprise trip to Spicers Peak Lodge for lunch with Bekaa Air. Every single thing was 10/10 perfection, if I could give 6 stars I would. Excellent communication from start to finish, from the live chat on the website to help us pick a tour and date, text messages to discuss specific requirements. We requested a reschedule due to windy weather forecast which was accommodated at no extra cost (refer to their excellent cancellation policy). Chopper is small but surprisingly very comfortable with an excellent view even with both of us in the back seats you can see clearly out the front. Landing 10m from the front door of Spicers Lodge, you certainly feel like a rock star. At no point were we rushed, Niko our pilot was super chilled, took some excellent photos for us and sent them through. We paid extra for the GoPro footage which was 100% worth it and excellent footage. Do yourself a favour and dont go to anyone else.
