The right people behind the shot
Aerial photography, filming and charter are our core business. We hold CASA approvals to operate below 500 feet, a CASA-issued aerial work certificate and a full safety management system. These capabilities support our photography and production work across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
We regularly secure clearances into controlled Brisbane airspace that other operators struggle to obtain. Our strong personal working relationships with Brisbane’s air traffic controllers are built on taking the time to explain each job properly: the locations, shooting angles, flight paths and timing. We know what information controllers need and provide it early, giving them more opportunity to work with us and get your shoot cleared.
We don’t charge weather cancellation fees. You shouldn’t have to choose between losing money and flying in conditions that won’t produce the photographs you need. Bekaa Air provides helicopter platforms for professional aerial photography and filming across Southeast Queensland. From Brisbane cityscapes and riverside properties to Gold Coast coastal developments and Sunshine Coast landscapes, we work with your photographer or production crew to plan the flight around the subject.
Helicopter filming for television and production crews
From Channel 7 television crews and major productions to independent filmmakers, our clients rely on pilots who understand what the camera needs.
Our pilots work with your camera operator to select the power settings, speeds and positioning that suit the shot, from side-on tracking passes to top-down perspectives and tight orbits. Where aircraft performance and operating conditions permit, we can also hold a hover. Efficient positioning helps your crew make the most of the shooting window.
Real estate photography, aerial surveys and photographic art
A helicopter gives photographers a way to show a property in its wider setting, document a site or capture a landscape from a different perspective. We support real estate photographers, aerial survey teams and local photographic artists, including artists whose work has sold internationally.
Most clients bring their own photographer, camera operator or specialist survey equipment. If you are a real estate agent enquiring without a photographer, let us know. We can discuss what the project needs before you commit to an aircraft booking.
Doors-off photography and Cineflex helicopter configurations
Your camera system, crew and shooting position determine the setup. We’ll work through those details with you, whether you’re shooting handheld through an open door or planning a left- or right-side Cineflex installation on the H125.
We invest substantial time in regular rotor track and balance work to reduce vibration, sometimes spending a full day refining an aircraft’s balance. For photographers and camera operators, that means a smoother platform and less vibration to contend with, particularly when working in low light. This attention to detail supports both handheld photography and aerial filming.
Flexible bookings and weather planning for your shoot
Safe flying weather isn’t always good photography weather. If the light, cloud or visibility won’t give you the images you need, we’ll work with you to find a better window. We don’t charge weather cancellation fees because the quality of your photographs matters more than keeping a booking in the diary.
