How do I make a booking?

The simplest way to book is online. We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay and Stripe, and initially place only a temporary hold on your funds. Payment is captured after our team confirms your preferred departure time and sends the final itinerary. If that time is unavailable, we will offer alternatives; if none suit, the hold is released. To book by phone, call 04908 177 27.

What is the policy for weather and cancellations?

If the weather is unsafe, you can move the booking or receive a full refund. When conditions remain safe but rain or cloud may affect the view, you may choose to fly or select another date. We ask for at least 24 hours notice when you need to make a change.

Will the flight be private?

Yes. The helicopter is reserved exclusively for your booking, whether there are two guests or a larger group. We do not combine you with passengers from another booking.

Do age, height or weight restrictions apply?

Our minimum age is 12 months, and an aviation-approved booster seat is available for younger guests. There is no height restriction. Passengers over 130kg should contact us before booking. In the R44, the combined passenger limit is generally around 250–275kg; groups above that range may require the larger Airbus H125, priced on a minimum of four seats.

Are short-notice bookings possible?

We will always try to accommodate a last-minute request, although weekends frequently book out in advance. Walk-ins are not available because every helicopter and pilot is prepared for a confirmed itinerary.

How does the day begin?

Arrive around 10 minutes before your confirmed departure. Your pilot will welcome your group, escort you to the helicopter, allow time for photographs and complete the safety briefing before take-off.

Which days and times do you operate?

Flights operate seven days a week, with most departures scheduled between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Evening departure times change through the year to suit daylight and operating conditions.

What should we do if we are late?

Please call us as soon as you know you may be delayed. We will do what we reasonably can to accommodate you, although a significant delay can reduce the available flight time when another booking follows.

Can we carry bags or luggage?

Small handbags, day bags and cameras are welcome. Larger luggage should be discussed before the flight so the pilot can confirm the available storage and aircraft payload.

Where do Gold Coast tours depart?

Gold Coast tours can depart from Gold Coast Airport, Sanctuary Cove or GC Turf Club, depending on the experience and operational availability. Your confirmation includes the selected meeting point, a map and the details required for the day. A suitable private property may also be considered following a landing-site assessment.

What aircraft will we fly in?

Bekaa Air operates modern, air-conditioned helicopters maintained to full commercial standards. Expansive glass provides excellent views, and every aircraft is prepared immaculately for its next private flight.

What clothing should we choose?

Smart casual clothing is suitable for most experiences. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety, and loose hats or unsecured items should be avoided around the helicopter. Sunglasses are useful on bright days.

Can the experience be purchased as a gift?

Yes. We can issue a digital gift voucher at no additional cost and email it to you after purchase. Vouchers remain valid for three years, giving the recipient flexibility when selecting a date.

May we take photos during the flight?

Yes. Phones and cameras are welcome, and your phone does not need to be placed in airplane mode. We only ask for everyone's full attention during the safety briefing.

Can we speak to each other in the air?

Yes. Bose noise-cancelling headsets allow the passengers and pilot to communicate clearly throughout the flight.

Should I be concerned about motion sickness?

Motion sickness is uncommon because helicopter flights are generally very smooth. If you are sensitive to motion, tell your pilot before departure so the route and flying style can be adjusted where practical.

Can you assist with a proposal or celebration?

Certainly. Share your plans with us and we can help coordinate the timing, flight path and discreet signals. Photographer placement can also be arranged where the location permits.

Can the flight be recorded on GoPro?

A high-definition camera can be mounted to capture the scenery or turned towards the cabin to record your reactions. The unedited footage is supplied on an SD card after landing.

Spicers Peak Lodge Helicopter Flight from Gold Coast

The Experience

High above the Gold Coast hinterland, Spicers Peak Lodge occupies a secluded crest surrounded by 8,000 acres of World Heritage wilderness. The rugged Main Range and the refined dining of Restaurant Peak give the lodge its unmistakable sense of place.

Approach the plateau by private helicopter and land above the cloud line. Visit for a considered tasting menu or stay overnight in complete seclusion, with a journey shaped around your group from the moment you leave the Gold Coast.

I booked a transfer to Spicer’s Peak including a scenic flight over the Gold Coast for my wife’s surprise 30th. Even with some not so pleasant weather, Nico was able to suggest a slight change to the flight plan and we managed to see everything we wanted to and got safely to Spicer’s and back. Needless to say it was a great trip and both pilots (Nico and Mith) were excellent and would happily fly with them again!

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could! We took a helicopter tour of Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and then stopped for lunch at Spicers Peak Lodge and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Niko and Declan are great pilots, very safe, and made us feel very comfortable the entire time. I planned this tour months in advance of our trip to Australia and the responsiveness, communication, and ease of planning was outstanding. Most of my communication was with Declan and he arranged for a car service to/from the airfield/Brisbane hotel and made the lunch reservation for us at Spicers in addition to the tour. It really could not have been easier. Spicers is amazing as well so if you’re hesitating about adding it on to your tour, don’t! There’s nothing like landing on the lawn and then having an exquisite lunch on the patio before jetting back off in your private helicopter. Bekaa Air really did execute everything flawlessly and I highly recommend them!

This experience was amazing. We done a pub crawl tour on the helicopter for a full day and enjoyed it so much. Nico our pilot made the experience even better. He was lovely with us always available to do pictures of us while we were there also took us to see the whales planned a surprise at the end of our trip to go around CBD Brisbane. We had so much fun during this trip in helicopter we saw beautiful places and had our time of our life. Thank you again!

I took my partner on a surprise trip to Spicers Peak Lodge for lunch with Bekaa Air. Every single thing was 10/10 perfection, if I could give 6 stars I would. Excellent communication from start to finish, from the live chat on the website to help us pick a tour and date, text messages to discuss specific requirements. We requested a reschedule due to windy weather forecast which was accommodated at no extra cost (refer to their excellent cancellation policy). Chopper is small but surprisingly very comfortable with an excellent view even with both of us in the back seats you can see clearly out the front. Landing 10m from the front door of Spicers Lodge, you certainly feel like a rock star. At no point were we rushed, Niko our pilot was super chilled, took some excellent photos for us and sent them through. We paid extra for the GoPro footage which was 100% worth it and excellent footage. Do yourself a favour and dont go to anyone else.
